Data Projects Analyst (Financial Data)

Location: Edinburgh, UK. Applicants must have and maintain the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Manage and complete data conversion projects from third-party systems and custodial data partner files.
• Coordinate data transmission, extraction, transformation, import, and validation for client portfolio data.
• Work with Sales and Services teams on project estimates, deliverables, and client outcomes.
• Develop and improve Python scripts and Jupyter notebooks for API integrations.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to improve processes and operational tooling.
• Maintain team resources, procedural documentation, and project metrics for internal analytics.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the financial investment, advisory, or technology industry.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and portfolio accounting.
• Experience multitasking, prioritizing, and leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, data providers, and internal partners.
• Problem-solving ability, self-motivation, ownership, and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Jira, Confluence, SQL, Salesforce, Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Requests, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or other financial services systems.
