Head of Application Engineering (Automotive)

What you will do

• Commission and optimize equipment for new and existing automotive products to accelerate production readiness.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce error rates, downtime, and improve process reliability.
• Lead and develop application engineers through coordination, mentoring, and development plans aligned with emerging technologies.
• Manage budgets, timelines, quality standards, and outcomes across application engineering projects.
• Influence equipment design, supplier selection, process innovation, and production improvements in series and non-series manufacturing.
• Ensure OEM compliance through testing, documentation, validation, training, and standardized procedures.

Requirements

• Technical or scientific higher education.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in application engineering.
• Proven experience leading technical teams, including strong coordination and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.
