Value Manager (Automotive)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with most office-based roles onsite three days per week

Annual gross base salary: RON 282,000–413,600

What you will do

• Define and execute value strategies for IVI/CDC platforms aligned with customer requirements and cost targets.
• Develop cost-efficient hardware and mechanical platforms, roadmaps, and reuse methodologies with architects, engineers, product teams, and subject-matter experts.
• Optimize hardware blocks throughout product lifecycles to improve cost, quality, and time to market.
• Lead value management ideation during RFQ/RFX phases, including BOM cost estimates and effort planning.
• Lead strategic VAVE workshops and monitor ideation pipeline, implementation, and business-impact metrics.
• Coordinate value engineering decisions across engineering, product management, procurement, and program teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Value Management, VAVE, electronic cost engineering, hardware design, or component engineering.
• Strong understanding of automotive electronics technologies and the end-to-end value chain.
• Experience explaining complex technical topics, leading presentations, and facilitating workshops.
• Strong analytical, KPI-tracking, project management, and organizational skills.
• Fluent English with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive infotainment or intelligent-cockpit products and projects.
• Automotive Tier 1 RFQ experience.
