Apple Mac Engineering Specialist (macOS/Jamf)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania; hybrid work with colleagues expected in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Provide engineering and advanced support for macOS devices in a large enterprise environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain Mac management, deployment, configuration, compliance, and lifecycle solutions using Jamf, Intune, and related MDM tools.
• Integrate Apple devices with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, and Device Compliance policies.
• Develop scripts, automation, and API-based integrations to improve reliability, compliance, and enterprise device management.
• Support macOS security, Apple ID management, Platform SSO, identity, and related enterprise capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, operating system, identity, security, and device-management issues while documenting standards and collaborating with engineering, support, and security teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience supporting Macs in an enterprise environment, including at least 2 years in an engineering-focused enterprise environment.
• Strong personal experience as an Apple Mac user.
• Hands-on experience administering macOS and iOS MDM, including Jamf, Intune, or similar solutions.
• Experience with Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, and Device Compliance in an Apple endpoint environment.
• Experience with scripting, automation, MDM APIs, and other integration methods for enterprise Mac management.
• Understanding of macOS security, identity, Apple ID, Platform SSO, and related enterprise concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Apple endpoints in a regulated or large-scale enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with Apple business deployment models and modern management practices.
• Experience with endpoint compliance and identity-driven access control.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
