Engineer, Mechanical (Mechanical Seals)

What you will do

• Evaluate designs, procedures, materials, and systems, making engineering changes and modifications independently under general supervision.
• Develop mechanical seal designs, select materials, perform engineering calculations, determine applications, and prepare drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Support product transitions from development into production, including bills of material and guidance for designers and drafters.
• Test and monitor mechanical seal designs, investigate failures, troubleshoot product and production issues, and produce technical reports.
• Communicate with customers, sales, colleagues, and vendors to provide technical recommendations and assistance.
• Visit customer sites to discuss and resolve field problems, perform seal installations, and provide service, commissioning, and troubleshooting for John Crane products.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidates without the required qualification may be considered with relevant hands-on experience with rotating equipment.
• Independence, self-motivation, results orientation, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Manual-transmission driving license.

• Experience in the refinery and petrochemical market.
