Advanced Design Engineer (Golf Equipment)

Location: Kaohsiung, Taiwan; international travel to suppliers and local teams, mainly in Vietnam and China, up to once per month, plus an annual trip to the USA headquarters.

What you will do

• Advance golf club head designs, materials, manufacturing technologies, and engineering processes supporting the long-term product and technology roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing for engineers, technicians, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Asia-based suppliers, regional teams, and global R&D partners on technology roadmaps, product development, and manufacturing initiatives.
• Lead prototype development, process learning, supplier problem-solving, and validation to achieve quality, timely delivery, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Conduct research, testing, data analysis, and design of experiments to improve product performance, durability, and manufacturing processes.
• Support technology investigations, intellectual property development, advanced manufacturing research, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; an MS degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a related role with a BS degree, or at least 1 year with an MS degree.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials, including stainless steels, titanium, aluminum, tungsten alloys, polymers, and carbon composites.
• Experience with one or more manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, machining, welding, coating, molding, powder metallurgy, MIM, bonding, additive manufacturing, or related production methods; exposure to multiple technologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data-driven problem solving, including DOE, hypothesis testing, root cause analysis, and complex dataset interpretation applied to product performance, reliability, durability, and manufacturing evaluations.
• Ability to lead suppliers, plan design and process studies, conduct evaluations, manage projects and time, solve problems, and communicate accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across global teams, suppliers, countries, cultures, time zones, and cross-functional disciplines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to act with urgency when opportunities or challenges arise.
