What you will do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot optical issues across PAS5500, YS, RH, and XT modules.
• Perform optical alignment, calibration, and contamination evaluation.
• Investigate light source stability, throughput variations, and sensor accuracy concerns.
• Collaborate with D&E and multidisciplinary teams on structural root cause analysis.
• Maintain and improve optical diagnostic procedures and calibration workflows.
• Provide containment actions to minimize machine downtime and secure production output.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optics, Photonics, Applied Physics, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in optical module assembly, integration, or calibration.
• Hands-on experience with optical benches, laser alignment, and inspection equipment.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting optical measurements and system behavior.
• Ability to work in a production environment and drive issue resolution.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or precision machinery.
• Familiarity with mechanical-optical interactions and tolerance stack-up.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Exposure to engineering change processes and reliability initiatives.
