R&D Programs & Operations Lead

Location: Sydney, Australia; this role is required to be in Sydney to facilitate close collaboration with the Chief Product Officer.

What you will do

• Lead Product and R&D operations, establishing departmental cadences, administrative frameworks, planning cycles, tracking initiatives, and operational rhythms.
• Design and maintain Product operating structures, including development frameworks, gates, forums, meeting formats, objectives, and agendas.
• Manage communication from Product, including roadmap publication, company-wide broadcasts, documentation, strategic narratives, Board communications, and customer communications.
• Coordinate programs and projects by tracking timelines, milestones, statuses, impediments, ownership, and delivery tasks.
• Provide continuity and operational cover for the Chief Product Officer and VP of Engineering while building relationships across departments and escalating issues for resolution.
• Orchestrate department-wide events, company-wide occasions, celebrations, recognition, and proactive improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience taking products to market, with a deep understanding of the entire product lifecycle and effective cross-functional collaboration for product delivery.
• Expertise in Events, Program, or Project Management, ideally in a start-up or scale-up technology environment.
• Experience in Organizational Change Management and Communications.
• Experience prioritizing, managing, and tracking multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous, fast-paced, high-growth setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
