Senior Project Manager (IT Networking)

Location: Onsite in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; primarily working from an HPE partner/customer office, with up to 4 days per week onsite at the customer premises.

What you will do

• Lead complex customer projects and programs, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Manage project financials, business impact, budgets, and reliable forecasts for management.
• Build and manage senior internal and external stakeholder relationships, including steering meetings and monthly business reviews.
• Direct internal and external project resources, generally involving more than 20 people across multiple countries; mentor team members and provide performance and development input.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, ensure quality control, and manage change requests through governance processes.
• Represent the organization with external customers and contribute expertise to project management practices and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
• Typically 8–10 years of experience in program and project management roles or similar roles/businesses.
• Extensive experience using project and program planning tools and software to create, manage, and track project results.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, negotiation, and business stakeholder management skills.
• Successful experience managing all aspects of programs, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrixed teams and resources.
• Mastery in English and the local language.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.
• Ability to communicate program plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options at senior management levels.
• Extensive experience delivering complex and large-scale network projects and programs in the Service Provider, Telco, and/or Enterprise customer space.

Nice to have

• PMP/PMI and/or MSP certification.
• Experience delivering projects and programs for Telco and Service Provider customers.
• Experience delivering IT Networking projects and programs.
