Claims Officer - Liability (Insurance)

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; hybrid role with a mix of working from home and in the office.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of liability claims, primarily personal injury claims with some exposure to property liability matters.
• Handle claims in line with policy, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess claim information, make sound decisions, and progress claims toward timely resolution.
• Build effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate claim records and documentation and support recovery opportunities where appropriate.
• Deliver a customer-focused claims service.

Requirements

• Experience managing claims within insurance or a related environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Adaptable, solutions-focused, and collaborative approach to working with customers and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to personal injury claims, workers compensation, compulsory third party (CTP) claims, liability claims, or another claims environment.
