Senior Market Unit Operations Officer ANZ (P&C Reinsurance)

What you will do

• Act as a strategic and operational business partner to the P&C Reinsurance ANZ Market Unit Head, Country President, and Location Management Team.
• Support the creation and execution of ANZ P&C Reinsurance strategies and action plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on business growth, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and organisational transformation.
• Prepare executive-level reports, strategic recommendations, Board materials, presentations, town hall updates, and quarterly communications.
• Drive local implementation of Group Strategy, strategic ANZ initiatives, and key priorities.
• Monitor branch operational performance, support governance, and collaborate across P&C, Life & Health, and Corporate Solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a strategic or operational leadership role in management consulting, reinsurance, or insurance.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty Reinsurance is preferred.
• Proven experience leading complex regional projects, change management, and organisational transformation.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, business acumen, and executive-level communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with advanced AI literacy and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to influence senior executives, Board members, cross-functional teams, and external partners.

Nice to have

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or an insurance-related field; an MBA is a plus.
• Experience in multicultural and global environments.
• Familiarity with Australian financial services or insurance regulatory and prudential requirements.
• Experience collaborating across Life & Health and Property & Casualty business lines.
