Audit Manager (Accounting)

Location: New York City, NY; additional locations in Uniondale, NY and Iselin, NJ. Work location status should be confirmed with the talent acquisition professional.

Pay range: $112,500–$168,000 in New York City, NY; $108,000–$161,200 in Uniondale, NY; $103,500–$154,500 in Iselin, NJ.

What you will do

• Provide assurance and consulting services to industry-specific middle-market clients.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Assess internal-control deficiencies, perform testing, and recommend improvements.
• Manage audit fieldwork, quality, timely delivery, staffing, billings, collections, and client profitability targets.
• Provide financial statement guidance, business recommendations, analysis, and client-facing business insight.
• Build internal, client, and community relationships while mentoring and developing team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA required.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, maintain ethical standards, stay current with applicable strategies, and deliver quality work on schedule.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.

Nice to have

• Master's or advanced degree.
• 5+ years of financial statement auditing experience in a professional services firm.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
