Salary: $112,500–$168,000 in New York, NY; $108,000–$161,200 in Uniondale, NY; $103,500–$154,500 in Iselin, NJ; $90,000–$134,400 in West Palm Beach, FL and Boca Raton, FL.

What you will do

• Provide tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and prepared or compiled financial statement services to small business clients.
• Review accounting records and reporting, provide analysis and consultation, and discuss accounting and business matters with clients.
• Lead and plan client engagements, evaluate processes, implement efficiencies, and identify internal control issues.
• Build client relationships, resolve client issues, recommend business and process improvements, and support additional client services.
• Delegate and oversee team work, manage engagement staffing and billings or collections, and help meet client profitability targets.
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws while supporting staff development and firm-wide learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable.
• CPA or JD required.
• Five or more years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• Management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, support continuous learning, understand both strategic context and details, demonstrate ethical judgment, and complete projects accurately and on time.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship is preferred.
