Audit Manager (Asset Management Broker Dealer)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $99,000–$174,700 annually in California; national range $90,000–$134,400.

What you will do

• Provide assurance and consulting services to asset management broker-dealer clients.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Design and implement testing of internal controls, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Manage audit fieldwork, quality, timely delivery, staffing, billings, collections, and client profitability.
• Provide financial statement guidance, business recommendations, analysis, and insight.
• Build client and community relationships while mentoring and developing team members.

Requirements

• Four-year degree, CPA, and at least five years of experience.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, support continuous learning, apply ethical judgment, understand both strategic and detailed matters, and deliver quality work on time.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced degree in accounting.
• Five or more years of financial statement auditing experience within a public accounting firm.
• Asset management industry experience.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
