Operations Data Analyst, Expert (Python)

Location: Hybrid, Oakland, California, US

Salary: The estimated hiring range is $120,000–$160,000 annually; published locality ranges are $120,000–$190,000 for California and $126,000–$200,000 for the Bay Area.

What you will do

• Manage complex data analysis projects from initial requests through data presentation, completing work on time and within budget.
• Design data analyses, process and cleanse data, and create automated routines for reporting and data delivery.
• Manage complex data extracts, list pulls, database transfers, and data distribution to analysts.
• Apply advanced statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, trends, profiles, and other operational analyses.
• Enhance databases with new data sources and improved data processes, and prepare visualizations and recommendations.
• Lead less experienced employees and work with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Six years of related work experience.

• Master’s degree.
• Advanced project management skills for leading cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Microsoft Power BI skills, including reports, visuals, and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of Palantir Foundry tools and data architecture.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, influence, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Python, including numpy, matplotlib, pandas, geopandas, and pyspark.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, graphing, and VBA.
• Advanced SQL query-writing skills using Oracle or Business Objects.
• Familiarity with utility operations.
