Buyer (Supply Chain)

Location: On-site in North York, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 54,075–80,752 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, data entry, shipment tracking, and resolution of logistics bottlenecks.
• Monitor inventory levels, anticipate material needs, and prevent shortages and excess or dead stock.
• Manage departmental budgets, audit vendor invoices, and support effective use of company spend.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Production to align procurement with business and internal customer needs.
• Identify and vet suppliers, support contract negotiations, and conduct ethical sourcing audits covering labor practices and environmental impact.
• Resolve straightforward supply chain issues using standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or a related procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing techniques, supply chain logistics, vendor selection, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills, including interpreting data trends, supplier performance, and invoice details.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer service skills for maintaining vendor partnerships.
