Strategic Buyer (Supply Chain)

Location: Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Hybrid work model with three days per week on site at 3400 Rue Pierre-Ardouin.

What you will do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies by analyzing markets, spending, suppliers, costs, quality, and supply reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supplier contracts while monitoring compliance and commercial risks.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance, capabilities, risks, improvement plans, and alternative sourcing solutions.
• Identify sustainable cost-saving opportunities, analyze total cost of ownership, and support budgeting and procurement KPI monitoring.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and prevent disruptions by developing business continuity and alternative sourcing solutions.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, production, quality, logistics, finance, and suppliers while improving procurement governance and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supplier management, preferably in manufacturing or an industrial environment.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations, managing commercial agreements, RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, supplier performance, spend analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual French and English required; English is needed to communicate with global suppliers and stakeholders outside Québec.
