Software Engineer - Agent Team (Go)

Location: Remote - US. hirify.global does not currently hire in California or the New York metro area. A federal, state, and county background check and local in-person verification are required. Work visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $122,000–$160,000 USD base pay per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, secure, and maintain solutions that communicate with more than 2 million deployed hirify.global agents.
• Extend event-driven services and endpoint software with new platform features.
• Test, tune performance, refactor, improve usability, and automate engineering workflows.
• Evaluate technical options, make recommendations, and iterate with feedback.
• Apply quality-first and data-driven approaches before changes reach production.
• Contribute to full service ownership, including cost profiles, failure modes, and operational behavior.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high-availability SaaS environment.
• Programming experience in Go or Java; versatility across multiple programming languages is expected.
• Professional experience shipping frontend features with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework, with the ability to own the UI portion of backend features.
• Experience building production applications in AWS cloud environments with strong security best practices.
• Experience scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms.
• Familiarity with scaling WebSockets and real-time messaging systems such as Kafka and MQTT, non-relational databases such as DynamoDB, and DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Support.
• Ability to pass federal, state, and county background checks and complete a local in-person verification.

Nice to have

• Experience building desktop or cross-platform applications.
• Experience with software running on customer endpoints across macOS, Windows, or Linux, including agents, installers, or system services.
• Experience writing automated end-to-end tests with Python, Playwright, or similar tools.
