Network Engineer (Datacenter Infrastructure & Automation)

Location: Karlsruhe, Germany; home office options and flexible working hours are available, with relocation service for candidates living outside Germany.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate highly available datacenter network architectures.
• Automate network operations with Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Develop and implement technical solutions with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to 24/7 operational continuity as part of a shared team responsibility.
• Create proofs of concept and high-level and low-level network documentation.

Requirements

• Technical degree and several years of experience building and operating complex network infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.1Q, BGP, IS-IS, VRF, EVPN, VXLAN, firewalling, overlay, and tunneling architectures.
• Experience with datacenter-grade network components, preferably Juniper, or Arista, Cisco, or similar vendors.
• Proficiency with Linux-based systems and open-source routing and firewall components.
• Experience designing large-scale network solutions and working in agile, international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Juniper Apstra, Cisco ACI, Arista EVPN, or VMware NSX.
