Bridge Engineering Intern, Summer 2027

Location: Rocky Hill, CT, United States; part-time internship based in the Rocky Hill office.

Compensation: $20–$26 per hour. The posting also states that the salary range is annual.

What you will do

• Assist engineers with civil transportation and site engineering projects, including plans, specifications, estimates, and design development.
• Prepare preliminary and final drawings, layouts, designs, maps, reports, construction documents, and supporting documentation.
• Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and Midas for CAD design and engineering tasks.
• Support studies, design analyses, quantity calculations, and other technical assignments.
• Conduct site visits and assist with bridge engineering and bridge inspection activities.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar program.
• Focus in Transportation or Structures (Bridge).
• Software proficiency with Microsoft, Excel, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and MicroStation.
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in organizing and presenting documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong self-initiative and a desire to learn.
