Intern, Water Resources (Summer 2027)

Location: Moon Township, PA, United States; onsite support for the Moon Township office.

Salary: $21–$25 per hour.

What you will do

• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, visual aids, design reports, technical memorandums, and construction specifications.
• Support hydrology and hydraulics studies through watershed delineation, runoff and flow calculations, As-Built reviews, CAD work, field investigations, and technical analysis.
• Draft details and make minor AutoCAD revisions; assist with design drawings and calculation sheets.
• Develop stormwater compliance plans, including SESC and detention basin designs, and support water quality program activities and reporting.
• Collect, enter, verify, manipulate, and analyze data; summarize study findings in reports and supporting exhibits.
• Review NPDES permits and regulatory correspondence, support quantity take-offs and cost estimates, solicit material and equipment costs, and assist with field documentation and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• At least one year of completed college coursework.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Good analytical skills and strong technical writing ability.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation design software.
