Remote Magento Developer (Magento)

Location: Fully remote; applicants are welcome from around the world. Required availability: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Starting base pay for candidates in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: $17–$35 per hour. Compensation may vary by experience, qualifications, skills test performance, location, and seniority; pay for candidates outside these states may fall outside the listed range.

What you will do

• Build, customize, maintain, and optimize Magento Community, Adobe Commerce, custom PHP, and other eCommerce websites.
• Convert Figma or PSD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Magento and custom PHP sites.
• Develop and customize Magento themes, plugins, modules, frontend functionality, and headless or decoupled implementations.
• Integrate data with Sage, QuickBooks, WordPress, Salesforce, APIs, and ERP or stock management systems.
• Resolve cross-browser compatibility issues and write clean, structured, well-documented code.
• Work in a LAMP environment with Git or SVN while supporting multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3, with strong Magento development experience.
• Ability to convert Figma or PSD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Magento websites.
• Ability to work in a LAMP development environment and strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive web development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while maintaining quality, organization, and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail, professional communication of technical concepts, and excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to adapt to a diverse, multicultural remote environment and a positive attitude toward building and growing in a startup-style environment.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
• Reliable remote workstation with a fast computer, microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud or Magento Commerce, Magento certification, or a portfolio with live links to previously developed websites or eCommerce sites.
• Expertise in WordPress and experience with data migration, Magento plugin or module development, theme development, or headless and decoupled Magento implementations.
• Basic server management knowledge, including hosting configuration, performance tuning, or deployment processes.
• Experience with Progressive Web Apps, headless Magento architecture, Magento PWA Studio, Vue Storefront, or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs, microservices-based architecture, and API-first integrations.
• Knowledge of AI/ML-driven eCommerce features, personalized recommendations, and Core Web Vitals optimization.
• Understanding of omnichannel commerce, including online stores, marketplaces, POS integrations, and scalable cloud deployment best practices.
