Web Developer (AI)

Location: Fully remote; preferred location is Latin America, with the listed location in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Working hours are 9 am to 5 pm EST.

Salary: USD 1,600–2,000 per month.

hirify.global connects candidates with agencies and startups; the client is a digital marketing agency serving cannabis dispensaries across North America through websites, SEO, loyalty programs, and email marketing.

What you will do

• Design and build websites and landing pages from Figma mockups using WordPress and Elementor.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools for code generation, debugging, design-to-page conversion, workflow acceleration, and task automation.
• Maintain multiple client websites and handle high-volume updates involving content, banners, links, plugins, and layouts.
• Debug custom PHP, CSS, and JavaScript across WordPress and other CMS environments, and adapt designs to varied brand guidelines.
• Work with cannabis e-commerce CMSs and online menu platforms, including Blaze, Treez, Dutchie, Jane, COVA, and Breadstack.
• Support migrations, DNS, Cloudflare, reverse-proxy setups, technical SEO, WCAG accessibility, cannabis compliance, launches, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional web development experience, including hands-on experience from before modern AI tools emerged.
• Strong design sense and a portfolio of well-performing, visually appealing websites.
• Experience managing a high volume of websites simultaneously in an agency or multi-client setting.
• Deep proficiency with WordPress and multiple page builders, particularly Elementor.
• Experience with non-WordPress CMS platforms such as Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal, or cannabis platforms such as Blaze and Treez, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of underlying code structures.
• Daily use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to accelerate coding and debugging, supported by concrete examples of time-saving workflows.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and web accessibility, including WCAG.
• Experience with U.S. clients and a digital marketing agency is required.
• Clear written English communication skills and comfort working asynchronously on a remote team.

• Experience in the wellness niche, specifically with cannabis dispensaries.
