Web Developer (AI/WordPress)

Location: Chile; fully remote; preferred location Latin America. Working hours: 9 am to 5 pm EST.

Salary: USD 1,600–2,000 per month.

What you will do

• Design and build websites and landing pages by converting Figma mockups into WordPress and Elementor pages.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools for code generation, debugging, design conversion, and routine task automation.
• Handle high-volume maintenance and change requests, including content updates, banners, links, plugin management, and layout fixes.
• Troubleshoot CMS issues with custom PHP, CSS, and JavaScript, and work across WordPress, Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal, Blaze, and Treez.
• Integrate cannabis menu platforms and manage migrations, DNS, Cloudflare, reverse proxies, technical SEO, GA4, GTM, schema markup, redirects, indexing, and Core Web Vitals.
• Ensure launches meet WCAG accessibility standards and cannabis compliance requirements, including age gates and state disclaimers, and document completed builds.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional web development experience, including hands-on experience before the emergence of modern AI tools.
• Strong design sense and a portfolio of well-performing, visually appealing websites.
• Experience managing a high volume of websites simultaneously in an agency or multi-client setting.
• Deep proficiency with WordPress and multiple page builders, particularly Elementor.
• Experience with non-WordPress CMS platforms such as Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal, Blaze, or Treez, plus the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of underlying code structures.
• Daily use of Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or comparable AI tools for code creation and debugging, with concrete examples of time-saving workflows.
• Understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and web accessibility standards including WCAG.
• Experience with U.S. clients and a digital marketing agency is required.
• Clear written English communication skills and comfort working in asynchronous, remote teams.
