Senior Workday Analyst (AI Automation)

Location: Hybrid in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA; at least two days per week in the Raleigh office.

Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year; no additional commission-based compensation.

What you will do

• Build automations and agentic workflow prototypes using Workato, Claude, and related tools to connect Workday, an applicant tracking system, and other People Technology systems.
• Own Workday business process configuration and security group architecture, including access reviews and segregation-of-duties checks.
• Develop Workday reports and calculated fields that provide reliable, actionable data.
• Partner with People and Places, IT, and other teams to troubleshoot configuration and data issues and test and deploy new functionality.
• Prototype automations for People Operations processes such as talent acquisition and onboarding.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience configuring Workday business processes.
• Experience building Workday reports or calculated fields, or strong aptitude to develop this capability quickly.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges, drive measurable outcomes, or streamline workflows.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience.
• Ability to translate technical configuration changes for non-technical business partners.
• Proactive approach to data integrity and sound judgment on ambiguous configuration requests.
• Clear, collaborative communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Workday security architecture experience.
• Experience with an iPaaS or automation tool such as Workato.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse or a similar system.

Hiring process

• Within the first month, become familiar with the Workday, ATS, and Workato environment, shadow existing automations and configuration, and complete security and access training.
• Within three months, ship a first Workato automation or agentic workflow and independently handle configuration and reporting requests.
• Within six months, build an automation for a People Operations process beyond Workday and the ATS and take on growing business process and security ownership.
