Material Planning Analyst

Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico; onsite five days a week, Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Analyze sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels to ensure timely material availability.
• Plan material requirements and stock levels, coordinate replenishment, and prevent shortages and overstocks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and operational logistics teams to ensure materials reach production plants and warehouses on time.
• Track supply chain performance targets covering backorders, estimated ship dates, supplier shipping performance, past-due schedules, inventory, and turns.
• Execute schedule adjustments involving order minimums and multiples, EOQs, lost or misdirected shipments, transportation issues, ASN issues, engineering changes, material code changes, and backorder escalations.
• Resolve invoice grief and over-short damage issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, International Relations, or any field within Supply Chain.
• Intermediate conversational English.
• Knowledge of Material Requirement Planning.
• Ability to analyze information objectively, apply critical thinking, make decisions across supply chain areas, manage conflicts, and maintain operational alignment.
• Project management capability, including coordinating tasks, timelines, and resources for operational initiatives.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel for data analysis, reporting, and process tracking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage project-related activities and align tasks, timelines, and cross-functional resources.

Nice to have

• Advanced conversational and written English.
• Two years of experience planning operational or indirect materials.
• Intermediate SAP proficiency, preferably the CBS module.
• Excel macro and query skills.
• Kaizen and/or Lean methodologies.
• Intermediate Power BI.
• APICS CPIM or related certification.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.
