Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Seguin, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, analyze, and manage manufacturing and assembly projects for generators ranging from 35kW to 850kW.
• Troubleshoot production-process issues and improve cleaning, assembly, testing, storage, packing, and material movement.
• Design processes aligned with takt time, quality, safety, ergonomics, and required throughput.
• Lead continuous improvement, audit validation, ISO compliance, root cause analysis, and quality activities including PFMEA and PPAP.
• Coordinate tooling, process design, cost estimates, layouts, standards, equipment planning, releasing, acquisitions, fabrication, and repairs with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Implement engineering changes, support capital projects and new equipment decisions, and ensure manufacturability and timely release during NPI.

Requirements

• Knowledge of decision-making processes and tools; ability to analyze situations and make productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophy, principles, and implementation approaches, with the ability to integrate lean practices into production and management processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, technologies, and processes, with the ability to plan, manage, monitor, and execute the manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, and process problems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and collaborate with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
