Manufacturing Process Engineer (Battery)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite production role.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Support daily production operations and resolve manufacturing, safety, quality, and production issues through escalation and timely corrective action.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Train and coach technicians on updated manufacturing procedures.
• Lead root cause investigations using 5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, and Pareto methods; support containment and recovery for quality, supplier, and production issues.
• Drive throughput, cycle time, OEE, yield, and cost improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Support ECOs, new product introductions, part revisions, process changes, MES and traceability enhancements, line balancing, capacity planning, ergonomics, and workflow optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with battery manufacturing processes, including cell-to-module and module-to-pack integration.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols for hazardous materials and toxic chemicals used in high-voltage battery manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and RCCA.
• Experience with MES, ERP, quality systems, and manufacturing data analysis, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume battery, automotive, EV, aerospace, or industrial production.
