Operations Coordinator (Fleet Operations)

Location: On-site in Chicago, United States; full-time support for a 24/7 operation, including some early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and manage driver schedules, maintain shift coverage, and fill operational gaps quickly.
• Coordinate vehicle assignments, handoffs, availability, and maintenance support to minimize downtime.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers and supervisors, resolving issues or routing them to the appropriate owner.
• Track coverage, utilization, attendance, and vehicle-status metrics and provide clear updates to leadership.
• Identify recurring operational problems, document processes, and help implement improved tools and workflows.
• Support the Chicago market launch through onboarding logistics, driver communications, supplies, and site needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in operations, dispatch, logistics, fleet, transportation, or another fast-moving operations environment.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to close loops independently.
• Strong data skills and proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel.
• Clear, calm communication with drivers, teammates, and leadership, including during operational disruptions.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, including some early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in rideshare, delivery, rental car, or fleet operations.
• Experience with scheduling or fleet tools such as Deputy, Samsara, Fleetio, or similar platforms.
• Experience launching a new market, site, or operation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
