Logistics Coordinator - Photonics Mast Movements (Aerospace)

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island, United States; flexible for occasional telework, but must be local to the work location.

Projected compensation: $51,046.46–$88,759.89 annually. The posting also lists a $1,000 salary amount.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary logistics contact and subject matter expert for Photonics Mast and GFM movements.
• Prepare, manage, and adapt shipping documentation for outbound shipments from the Photonics Mast Repair Depot.
• Coordinate shipments and returns with shipyards, Periscope On-site Representatives, repair facilities, freight forwarders, and other geographically dispersed stakeholders.
• Maintain global shipping point-of-contact data and provide detailed material movement updates.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for shipping classified and unclassified Photonics Masts and GFM to domestic and international locations.
• Track shipment costs, manage contract deliverables, update the RFV tracker, and support continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant U.S. Navy or military logistics experience may substitute for the degree.
• BS: 2–4 years of experience, MS: 0–2 years, or HS: 8–10 years.
• Experience in logistics, material expediting, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and MS Teams.
• Ability to work independently and build professional relationships with a diverse, geographically dispersed stakeholder network.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Deep familiarity with defense logistics processes, including shipping classified or sensitive military hardware CONUS and OCONUS.
• Experience with submarine systems, especially Imaging Systems or Photonics Masts.
• Experience in a NAVSEA, NUWCDIVNPT, or similar Navy program environment.
• Experience creating and implementing logistics or shipping SOPs.
• Experience tracking and reporting project financials or shipping costs.
• An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
