What you will do
- Consolidate clinical trial budgets across the R&D portfolio and develop, manage, and track trial budgets.
- Own the clinical trial financial management process and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert for clinical trial financial management systems, including Oracle.
- Review and approve clinical trial contracts and amendments, ensuring financial terms align with company policies.
- Prepare financial reports, analyses, monthly accruals, and monthly, quarterly, and prepaid journal entries for clinical trials.
- Partner with Finance, Clinical Operations, Project Management, Tech Ops, and other R&D functions to provide financial guidance and maintain internal controls.
Requirements
- Essential experience in Clinical Trial Financial Management.
- Essential experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
- Extensive experience in accounting and/or finance-related positions.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and applicable financial systems and software applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with strong stakeholder relationship management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Oracle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or another advanced degree.
