Senior Strategic Finance Analyst (AI)

Location: Barcelona or London; hybrid work with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and residence within commuting distance of a hub required. Relocation support may be available for certain roles.

What you will do

• Own short-term and long-term forecasting models to support precise leadership decision-making.
• Collaborate with go-to-market and other cross-functional teams to assess business developments affecting projections.
• Support the long-term strategic plan and annual operating plan.
• Influence capital allocation and long-term financial planning decisions through data-driven analysis.
• Execute reporting, forecasting, budgeting, ROI-based resource allocation, and internal and external benchmarking.
• Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular reporting and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Previous experience in investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance/FP&A.
• Track record of exceptional performance in demanding, high-calibre teams.
• Data-driven mindset, bias for rapid decision-making, and preference for excellence over perfection.
• Proficiency in Excel, including creating and managing complex financial models.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for analysis, stress-testing assumptions, and automating repetitive processes, with judgment about when human input is essential.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and investment analysis.
• Ability to understand and collaborate with multiple lines of business.
• Willingness to take on new challenges and openness to feedback, continuous improvement, development, and innovation.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field.

Nice to have

• Expertise or coverage of go-to-market functions within investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance/FP&A.
