Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid; 3 days per week in the Oakville, Ontario, Canada office.

Compensation range: CAD 108,900–136,100 per year.

What you will do

• Own large-scale technical projects from architecture and design through implementation, testing, and delivery with limited guidance.
• Lead the agentic AI development practice, including prompt architecture, tool and MCP design, agent orchestration, autonomous workflows, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Define coding standards, lead code reviews, advance frameworks, and present new design and implementation patterns.
• Mentor developers and raise team capability across relevant technologies and methodologies.
• Support and troubleshoot production software, clearly escalating tooling gaps and agent failures.
• Use AI and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or comparable assistants in daily development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of .NET and ASP.NET MVC experience, including strong C# skills and RESTful API/WebAPI development.
• 3+ years building AI-integrated applications, including agentic systems with autonomous workflow design, subagent delegation, and context management.
• 3+ years designing and supporting RESTful APIs and tool integrations for LLM-based systems.
• Technical leadership experience, including leading developers, managing project timelines, and holding a team accountable to engineering standards.
• Full-stack fluency and the ability to translate business requirements into agent behaviors, prompts, and escalation paths.
• Strong ownership of the quality and correctness of shipped work, whether hand-written or agent-produced.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Claude Agent SDK or comparable frameworks such as OpenAI Agents SDK or LangGraph, including multi-agent coordination and task management.
• Proficiency with MCP servers, connector design, and skill authoring.
• 1+ year supporting Claude-powered agents or similar LLM systems in production.
• Front-end experience with HTML5, SCSS, TypeScript, Knockout, and/or React in a SaaS product environment.
