Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — Hybrid

Expected salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership through team discussions, meetings, demos, and documentation.
• Design and develop robust, scalable APIs and applications integrating with the hirify.global Platform and hirify.global Agent Mesh.
• Participate in requirements definition, software design, implementation, testing, bug fixing, and deployment using agile development practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on features distributed across the message router, applications, and APIs.
• Analyze and tune applications for high-throughput performance, diagnose defects, and improve reliability.
• Develop automated tests, CI/CD integration pipelines, and clear API and application documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience across all phases of software development.
• Experience developing production-grade, scalable backend services using Go, Java, C#, or other programming languages.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience building or working with React frontend applications.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions with SQL/NoSQL databases, including MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• Experience using AI technologies and coding-assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cline, Claude Code, Aider, and Roo.
• Ability to deliver production-quality software supported by automated tests, with interest in performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to learn independently, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and SaaS.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and event brokers such as hirify.global, Kafka, and SNS.
• Experience with containers, microservices, and related technologies and design patterns.
