Manufacturing Quality Intern (Summer 2026)

Location: USA - New York - Malta; full-time, on-site internship requiring at least 40 hours per week.

Expected salary: $20.00–$40.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead a defined process-improvement project to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, or standardization of a manufacturing quality business process.
• Develop or enhance digital tools, dashboards, and automated workflows that provide visibility into quality actions, priorities, owners, and due dates.
• Collect and analyze quality process data to identify trends, gaps, recurring issues, performance opportunities, and risks.
• Partner with Manufacturing Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Document improvements, communicate project results and recommendations, and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Requirements

• Be at least a sophomore at the time of application and actively pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree through an accredited program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field during the internship.
• Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing.
• Have written and verbal English fluency.
• Be able to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice to have

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, or similar settings.
• Strong interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision-making.
• Project management skills, including innovating, executing solutions, and navigating ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience or coursework in data analytics, process improvement, automation, dashboard development, or software/application development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Excel, Python, SQL, or similar data visualization and workflow-automation technologies.
