New College Grad Manufacturing Engineer (Bachelors/Masters - Austin, TX)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite work with possible clean-room duties

Salary: $65,500–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate the release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Apply engineering and design-for-excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for issues arising during assembly or system testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is also considered.
• New college graduate profile.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, lift, and work in tight or noisy spaces.
• Ability to distinguish colors and use hand and power tools.
• Clean-room work may require personal protective equipment, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of semiconductor or other industry experience.
• General knowledge of the semiconductor industry gained through education or experience.
• Knowledge of lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement.
