Intern, Quality Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States; ability to relocate for the duration of the internship is required. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $28.00–$35.00 per hour in Torrance, CA.

Develops and supports aerospace and military aircraft technologies through engineering programs.

What you will do

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of engineering tasks within the Process Quality Engineering team.
• Provide technical support to engineers as needed.
• Perform work that may include data analysis, process improvement, testing, root cause investigation, documentation, and participation in customer meetings, depending on educational discipline.
• Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Work as a multidisciplinary team member and represent the organization professionally.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited university.
• Have a GPA of at least 3.0; the exact GPA requirement will be specified by the department.
• Be able to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Demonstrate a professional disposition, effective communication skills, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
