Manufacturing Engineer 2027 Summer Intern (Semiconductor)

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States; onsite work in a Class I semiconductor clean room

Salary: $21.69–$29.01 per hour

What you will do

• Develop new manufacturing processes and improve existing processes for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methods to an assigned project.
• Investigate production-floor and customer quality notifications and coordinate problem-solving efforts.
• Partner with production and field service on manufacturing engineering projects.
• Document and release production processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a Class I semiconductor clean room and perform physical duties, including lifting and carrying objects up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures around chemicals, electrical currents, high voltage, moving mechanical parts, and radiation.
