F&B Buyer (Food & Beverage)

Location: Genoa, Italy; office-based role with at least 5 hours on-site required for office vouchers. Legal right to work in Italy required; availability to travel required.

Gross annual salary: €32,000–€35,000. Employment governed by the CCNL Commercio.

What you will do

• Source Food & Beverage products from international markets in line with purchasing targets, quality standards, and company guidelines.
• Build and maintain strategic commercial relationships with suppliers worldwide.
• Analyze quotations, bids, product specifications, and commercial terms, and negotiate competitive agreements.
• Monitor market developments and consumer trends to identify innovative products and future sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare analytical reports, monitor procurement performance, and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to optimize purchasing and delivery solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the cruise industry.
• A degree in Economics, Gastronomic Sciences, Procurement Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• Solid Food sector experience with knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and market trends.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of computer and business systems.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating supplier quotations, comparing commercial proposals, and assessing logistics alternatives.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Legal right to work in Italy.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Food & Beverage Management.
• Previous experience in the luxury Food & Beverage sector.
• Familiarity with e-procurement platforms.
• Knowledge of Crunchtime.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
