Commodity Manager EMS/Electronic (m/f/d)

Location: Bolzano, BZ, Italy

Total compensation starting from €74,000 gross per year, including a 30% variable bonus based on goal achievement.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global sourcing and commodity strategy for EMS and electronic components in line with business goals and growth plans.
• Own the assigned purchasing portfolio, including sourcing, supplier selection, decision-making, and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and implement supplier strategies focused on cost competitiveness, technological innovation, supply continuity, and operational excellence.
• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers worldwide while managing supplier performance through reviews, KPI monitoring, on-site assessments, and improvement initiatives.
• Lead contract negotiations and develop risk-mitigation strategies addressing market volatility, geopolitical risks, capacity constraints, shortages, and multi-sourcing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Supplier Quality, Cost Engineering, Operations, and NPI teams on product development, supplier innovation, design-to-cost initiatives, and industrialization.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a similar role and in strategic sourcing.
• Knowledge of EMS/electronic technologies and manufacturing processes.
• Analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Fluent English.
