Warehouse Team Leader (Fixed Term Contract, 9 months)

Location: Porcari, Tuscany, Italy; the role supports operations in Lucca and is onsite in the warehouse.

What you will do

• Lead the warehouse team, providing training, coaching, assessments, and motivation.
• Manage inbound and outbound warehouse processes, including goods receipt, put-away, picking, material handling, kitting, and dispatch.
• Plan resources and capacity against production, supplier, and customer schedules, including agency requirements and associated costs.
• Manage inventory control, stock accuracy, cycle counting, stocktaking, material segregation, storage, and physical and transactional movements.
• Drive Lean, 5S, Daily Management, Tier 1 SQDCP, visual management, and continuous improvement activities.
• Own warehouse metrics, root-cause countermeasures, equipment compliance, service levels, productivity, and warehouse costs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations within manufacturing companies.
• Experience managing and supervising operational personnel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience in inventory management and stock analysis.
• Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Fluent Italian at an advanced level and professional English at minimum B2 level.
• Knowledge of warehouse management principles and processes, including FIFO, Kanban, milk run, picking, and kitting.
• Understanding of inbound and outbound logistics flows, inventory discrepancy analysis, material-handling safety standards, lifting equipment operations, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and logistics KPIs.
• Strong leadership, team motivation, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, conflict management, pressure management, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Technical diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Good command of English.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
