Process Automation Engineer (RPA)

What you will do

• Design and build complex automation solutions using RPA technologies, programming languages, web services, macros/VBAs, and related platforms.
• Work with Business Process Re-engineering, business stakeholders, and other functions to translate business needs into robust, efficient, and scalable technical designs.
• Deliver process analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, UAT support, bug fixes, and operational support through incident management and enhancements.
• Apply agile, process engineering, CI/CD, build, test, deployment automation, and quality-focused development practices.
• Define reusable, robust, flexible, and extensible design patterns and produce high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder feedback.
• Manage and lead multiple automation initiatives across centre-wide and regional projects, while mentoring and coaching Process Automation Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with Pega Robotics or another RPA tool such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate/Apps.
• At least 8 years of professional programming experience, including scripting or coding with .NET, Python, VBA, SharePoint Development, SQL, relational databases, and application development.
• Advanced knowledge of programming concepts using one or more of C/C++, Python, VBScript, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
• Experience with process analysis, solution design, implementation, technical requirements, system testing, UAT, and bug fixing.
• Knowledge of technical architecture for Automation/RPA projects and expertise in extensible and scalable solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, facilitation, data-gathering, stakeholder-management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to work with management in GSSC and onshore teams.
• Experience applying risk and internal-control concepts to coding standards and business processes.
• Ability to adapt to change, work in a dynamic environment, manage multiple initiatives, and demonstrate agility and flexibility.

• Experience delivering multiple automation initiatives with tangible benefits.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial services, preferably insurance.
• Experience in a consulting or shared services environment.
• Graduate degree in IT or Software Engineering.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and/or Project Management.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry.
