Junior Backend Developer - PL/SQL (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, Makati City, Philippines

Salary: PHP 489,000–PHP 520,000 per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers in an agile environment.
• Write solution designs for new developments and review them with technical leads and architects.
• Participate in client workshops and support requirements analysis.
• Design, develop, maintain, improve, and optimize treasury-related software functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and contribute to quality assurance.
• Take ownership of the assigned area of expertise and work with Jira and related ticketing platforms.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferable.
• Several years of continuous relevant software development experience and in-depth knowledge of software engineering.
• Good knowledge and sound understanding of database technologies, including SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking with a structured and autonomous approach to complex technical and business problems.
• Eagerness to understand business needs and deliver clean designs and high-quality code.
• English is required as the official common language across regions.

Nice to have

• Python, C++, or similar programming experience.
• Experience in the financial industry and/or treasury topics.
• Experience with hirify.global or other Treasury IT vendors, such as Comyno or Kondor+.
• Knowledge of domain-specific standards, including FIX protocol, SWIFT MT, or MX (ISO 20022).
• German language skills.
