Director, Digital Tech Transfer & Knowledge Management (AI)

Location: Hybrid; primary location in West Point, Pennsylvania, United States. Travel requirements: 10%. No relocation. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $173,200–$272,600 annual base salary for the primary location, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Define and champion the product vision and strategic roadmap for Digital Tech Transfer and Process Knowledge Management.
• Lead and mentor product analysts, technology specialists, and process specialists.
• Oversee digital manufacturing products from requirements gathering and concept through deployment and continuous improvement.
• Translate business needs across Science & Technology, Research, Commercialization, manufacturing operations, and IT into scalable, compliant digital solutions.
• Integrate data from MES, LIMS, process control systems, and other sources into a cohesive process knowledge ecosystem.
• Manage product priorities, data integrity and governance, GxP compliance, executive communication, and digital exchanges with contract manufacturing organisations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field and at least 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical technology transfer and receiving-site readiness, including process knowledge transfer, capability assessment, data preparedness, and operational handover.
• Experience in product management, program leadership, or a strategic role delivering large-scale, data-intensive digital products.
• Experience managing and developing technical and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and technical experts.
• Deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, technology transfer, and associated data and control systems, including MES, DeltaV, PKM, Databricks, SCADA, or PI.
• Ability to connect business objectives to detailed technical execution plans.
• Experience implementing and scaling AI solutions in mission-critical, highly regulated environments with governance, reliability, security, and compliance controls.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing or managing Process Knowledge Management systems and digital tech transfer solutions.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine learning in manufacturing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and digital innovation.
• Experience with process analytics, including PPA/PPM, and GMP/GxP compliance for digital systems.
