Director, AI Product Management - Global Marketing Services (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid, with at least 3 days in the office and generally 2–3 set office days per week or 50% or more based on business needs. The role requires 5–10% travel. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: $179,000–$287,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Own the internal AI product roadmap and use-case backlog across Marketing Services, prioritizing opportunities by business impact, feasibility, and data readiness.
• Co-lead workflow reimagination and future-state process design, identifying where AI solutions and agents can improve quality or accelerate delivery.
• Define AI agent and solution specifications covering target users, data needs, integrations, guardrails, and MVP scope.
• Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; manage backlog refinement and serve as business product owner in Technology sprint and build cycles.
• Partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Technology, business stakeholders, and external vendors to validate data foundations, build solutions, and support deployment.
• Measure adoption, user satisfaction, productivity, quality, and business value while supporting responsible AI, governance, regulatory, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance requirements.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or at least 10 years with an Advanced Degree such as a Master's, MBA, or PhD.
• Experience in AI product management, including owning a product backlog, writing requirements, and managing prioritization in an agile environment.
• Hands-on mastery of a range of AI tools and platforms, using AI to drive innovation, streamline operations, and deliver measurable business impact.
• Experience defining and launching AI solutions, including AI agent specifications, intelligent automation, or AI-powered internal tools, from concept through production with Technology, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams.
• Experience managing pilots and proof-of-concept programs, gathering user feedback, iterating on solutions, and scaling successful pilots into enterprise-wide solutions.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs with measurable business impact in a global, matrixed organization.
• Ability to translate complex AI, data, and technology concepts into clear product requirements, executive-level recommendations, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong relationship-building, written and verbal communication, organization, follow-through, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-paced matrixed environments.

Nice to have

• 15 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 12 years with an Advanced Degree such as a Master's, MBA, or PhD.
• Familiarity with data architecture, data pipelines, feature stores, and data foundations for AI and machine learning solutions.
• Experience with workflow analysis, process redesign, and translating operational inefficiencies into product-led solutions.
• Familiarity with payments, banking, fintechs, or card products.
