Senior Hardware Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and break down hardware requirements; select design concepts, technologies, and electronic components for new or improved products.
• Design and document schematics and PCB layouts, maintain BOMs, and validate second-source alternatives.
• Test, validate, and debug prototypes and final designs, including high-speed and multilayer hardware.
• Support manufacturing, production testing, factory test equipment, design-for-cost, design-for-manufacturability, defect analysis, and continuous improvement with EMS partners.
• Work with software engineers, QA, procurement, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare hardware R&D reports and support product certification processes.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience designing electronics, including schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience documenting requirements and specifications.
• Experience with multilayer and high-speed designs such as DDR, USB, Ethernet, or PCIe.
• Experience designing with processors, including MPUs and/or fast MCUs, and external memories.
• Experience testing, validating, and debugging prototypes.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and industrialization for mass-volume production, including testing tools.
• Experience with full-cycle product development from concept to adoption.
• Experience with certification processes according to relevant standards or regulations.
• Understanding of digital and radio communication systems; ability to solve complex problems, work methodically, communicate clearly, and collaborate across functions.
• Professional English is required.

Nice to have

• RF knowledge.
• Software development experience.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
• Strongly recommended but not mandatory: Spanish.
