Ground Segment IVV Engineer (Space)

hirify.global employs the successful candidate to support a client involved in the IRIS² programme, including ground segment design, development, implementation, and service operations for satellite constellations and terrestrial networks.

What you will do

• Plan, define, and execute Integration, Verification and Validation (IVV) activities for ground segment systems.
• Develop and maintain IVV plans, procedures, and test cases aligned with project requirements and standards.
• Integrate hardware and software components and perform verification and validation testing for functionality and interoperability.
• Analyse test results, troubleshoot issues, investigate anomalies, and support resolution during integration and testing.
• Collaborate with system, software, and hardware engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system performance.
• Prepare test documentation, reports, technical reviews, and system-level validation campaigns while identifying and mitigating integration risks.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IVV roles for space or ground projects.
• Hands-on hardware and/or software experience.
• Familiarity with ESA/EC projects and knowledge of ECSS standards.
• Eligibility to live and work in the EU.
• Personal Security Clearance (PSC) up to ESA SECRET / EU SECRET, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
