SAP ABAP Lead Technical Analyst (SAP FI/CO)

Location: Hybrid in Deerfield, Illinois, United States.

Salary: $105,000–$165,000 USD base salary per year, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between Information Technology, business leaders, assigned business units, and vendors.
• Lead technical design, configuration, development, support, and continuous improvement for SAP Financials and global SAP deployments.
• Develop and execute tests covering infrastructure, security, technical development, functional configuration, and end-to-end SAP application scenarios.
• Design RICEW solutions, integrations, technical specifications, and end-to-end system architectures based on business requirements.
• Lead or participate in system design sessions, proof-of-concept evaluations, vendor selection, training, and SAP functionality enablement.
• Manage technical risks, estimates, project schedules, change and service management activities, prioritization, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required; equivalent additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• High energy, confidence, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to drive action for daily and project tasks.
• Availability for 24x7 on-call rotation to handle off-hour system emergencies.
• 3+ years of IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO modules and their integration with SD and MM.
• 5+ years of ABAP programming experience with a strong understanding of SAP Financial Configuration, integrations, and related processes.
• 5+ years of technical experience developing RICEW components: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.
• Technical knowledge of SAP databases and tables covering General Ledger, Closing, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Elements, Profit Center Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Investment Management in SAP ECC.
• Experience with SAP ERP implementations from small to large scale, across organizations and geographies, including local regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, Agile and waterfall methodologies, analytical and project management practices, and translating customer needs into application and operational requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication with internal customers, IT colleagues, third-party vendors, and senior IT leadership; ability to prepare and deliver organized presentations.
• Experience with IT ticketing and support systems such as ServiceNow and Jira in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• General knowledge of IDocs, batch scheduling, web services, WinShuttle, SAPscript/Smart Forms, and BADI development.
• SAP S/4HANA expertise.
• PMP and/or CSM certification.
