SAP Technical Lead (S/4HANA)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture for a clean-core S/4HANA finance landscape supporting Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
• Define the SAP extensibility strategy using SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, and Databricks-native applications while keeping the digital core upgrade-ready.
• Architect secure, resilient integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, event-driven patterns, and change-data feeds.
• Establish technical patterns for ingesting, modeling, governing, and serving SAP data in the Databricks Lakehouse.
• Set engineering standards for CI/CD, automated testing, deployment pipelines, security, observability, and technical governance.
• Lead and mentor engineers and architects while owning performance, scalability, resilience, security, cost, risks, and technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in SAP technical roles, including 3+ years as a technical lead or architect and delivery of at least one full S/4HANA program.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of clean-core architecture, custom-code remediation, in-app and side-by-side extensibility, released APIs, and extension governance.
• Advanced experience with SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, CAP, Fiori, and SAPUI5.
• Hands-on experience with agentic automation, LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI evaluation in controlled ERP processes.
• Advanced experience with SAP Integration Suite, API management, event-driven architecture, REST, OData, hybrid integrations, and SAP data extraction and modeling.
• Working knowledge of SAP authorizations, segregation of duties, SOX, audit requirements, and the ability to lead technical decisions and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience building applications or automation layers on modern data platforms such as Databricks alongside SAP.
• Knowledge of SAP AI and extension technologies including BTP, AI Core, Joule, Datasphere, OData, REST APIs, and CDS views.
• Experience working with system integrators and managed service partners, including vendor and SLA accountability.
• SAP certification and experience in a high-growth technology company scaling ERP systems.
