SAP ABAP Techno-Functional Analyst (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in Deerfield, Illinois, United States

Base salary: $105,000–$165,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between Information Technology, business leaders, assigned business units, and vendors.
• Lead technical design, configuration, development, support, and continuous improvements for SAP deployments and financial processes.
• Develop RICEW solutions, integration specifications, architecture designs, prototypes, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios, including test data, infrastructure and security testing, and functional configuration validation.
• Provide SAP ECC and S/4 functionality training, support project planning, estimate enhancements, manage risks, and resolve delivery issues.
• Support monthly and quarterly SOX audits and annual internal and external audit cycles with documentation and testing coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required; equivalent additional work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Manufacturing background required.
• Availability for 24x7 on-call rotation to handle off-hour system emergencies.
• At least 3 years of IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO modules and integration with SD and MM.
• At least 5 years of ABAP programming experience with SAP Financial Configuration, integrations, and related processes.
• At least 5 years of experience developing RICEW components: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.
• Strong understanding of accounting and close processes in SAP, including P2P, O2C, R2R, and tracing transactions from source documents to the G/L.
• Technical knowledge of SAP databases and tables for General Ledger, closing, tax, A/R, AP, cost elements, Profit Center Accounting, fixed assets, Cost Center Accounting, internal orders, product costing, and investment management in SAP ECC.
• Working knowledge of SAP data and development objects, including CDS views, SAP table relationships across FI/CO, MM, and SD, table queries, and reading and debugging ABAP programs.
• Experience with small- to large-scale SAP ERP implementations across geographies and with local regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, waterfall project management, and Agile process methodologies.
• Strong analytical and project management skills, including translating customer business needs into application and operational requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication with internal customers, IT associates, third-party vendors, and senior IT leadership; ability to deliver organized presentations.
• Experience with IT ticketing and support systems such as ServiceNow and Jira in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of IDocs, batch scheduling, web services, WinShuttle, SAPscript/Smart Forms, and BAdI development.
• SAP S/4HANA expertise.
• PMP and/or CSM certification.
